- Cyclamen Trials
Headstart Nursery, along with the Hortus Group, hosted the 2013 Cyclamen Trials in January at our Castroville, CA facility. Customers, vendors and breeders had a unique opportunity to evaluate and compare over 400 varieties of Cyclamen. The trials were so popular, we extended the trial dates from January 7 through 30.
- Prefinished Availability
In addition to our online plug and liner availability, we now also offer a separate availability listing for prefinished product. Call (408) 842-3030 or send email to book your orders today!
We are proud to announce that our Cyclamen and Gerbera programs are now available exclusively in Ellepot trays. Ellepots are self-contained plugs made of degradable paper in a 128 round cell styrene tray. Growing these crops in Ellepots will save time and labor in the greenhouse, cut down on growing time, and improve shipping, as plants grown in Ellepots stay intact even if removed from the liner during transit.
Special congratulations to Accounting Manager Emily Angotti and her husband Matt on the birth of their first child.
Daughter Amanda Marie arrived on February 27, 2013 — a wonderful birthday present for her proud mom — and just in time to make the February newsletter!
